Old Map of Almora District (which comprises today's Almora, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar & Champawat districts) in British India. The beauty of this map is that it includes all non-motorable roads of that time along with all Parganas (Sub unit of District). Almost all of these tracks are in ruins and hard to identify in today's time. Some of these tracks are also trade routes through which traders from Bhot (Tibet) use to reach Bageshwar, Haldwani, Tanakpur, Garud etc. Source: Almora Gazetteer, Walton, 1911
